SCT-013-000 is a non-invasive, split-core AC current sensor, designed for measuring alternating current (AC) up to 100A without the need to physically cut or modify the conductor. This type of sensor is often used in energy monitoring systems, smart power meters, and DIY home automation projects.SCT-013-000 specifically is a current transformer (CT) type sensor that provides an AC current output (not voltage), making it suitable for use with burden resistors and analog-to-digital converters in microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi.
